About Us
At Assiniboia & District Museum you will feel as though you stepped back in time. Since our re-launch in 1995, in our new building, we have been dedicated to enriching the lives of all who visit our space.
For regular guests, we try to keep things interesting by regularly hosting exciting events and fresh new seasonal exhibits. Out of town guests enjoy our beloved exhibits such as the Farquhar Car exhibit, Boardwalk through time, and the Prentice Safari exhibit. We hope you will come to our amazing museum soon.

Closed at noon (12 to 1)
Closed Holidays (May 22, August 7, September 5, October 10)
We close October 31, 2023.
We accept cash, etransfers, and credit cards. We are non-profit organization and operate with donations and grants. Thank you to those that donate and thank you to the funding for Grants to keep us going.

This term position is to provide information to visitors to the Assiniboia Museum and to assist with developing programs and delivering programs throughout the summer season. Duties may include assisting with social media, summer camp (s), assist with volunteer support and assist with set up/take down or move exhibit (s) and assist with programming and other duties. Responsibilities include ensuring visitors have good positive experience with excellent customer service, gift shop duties, reception duties (in person or by phone) for information about the Museum, Town of Assiniboia and the surrounding area, processing admissions, donations and participating in the day to day operation of the Museum. Candidate will be knowledgeable about Canadian and Indigenous history, surrounding area, work weekends, possibly evenings (mini-golf) and generally awareness of the following: - Desire to work with people of all ages and background - Good communication skills verbal and written Research skills Organization skills -Ability to work independently and as a team member Good computer skills. Only students returning to school or post secondary will be considered for this term position.
