Visit us to walk along our boardwalk of our early town and look through the interior of buildings and stores, preserved as they once were. Then take a trip forward to the beginning of the electric era. Don't forget to check out our vast display of antique cars, the Safari Exhibit or weather permitting - Mini Golf. There is something to interest everyone, why not come see for yourself?
About Us
At Assiniboia & District Museum you will feel as though you stepped back in time. We have been dedicated to enriching the lives of all who visit our space.
For regular guests, we try to keep things interesting by regularly hosting exciting events and fresh new seasonal exhibits. Out of town guests enjoy our beloved exhibits such as the Farquhar Car exhibit, Boardwalk through time, and the Prentice Safari exhibit. The Nine Hole Mini Golf, weather permitting, will bring laughter, some fun to you and your family or friends.Come to our amazing museum soon. We like to share a few memories with you or have a game of Mini Golf to see who has the best putting shot.

We close November 1 requests can be made through leave message on voicemail at 306 642 5353 or email address: assini.museum@sasktel.net. Please note that these are checked every 5 to 7 days so please make arrangements with that in mind.
We accept a donation for entering the Museum instead of a entrance fee. Example: $10 per adult.
We accept cash (preferred), etransfers, and credit cards. Please ask for the etransfer information. Please note a fee will be added for fee on credit card.

We are non-profit organization and operate with donations and grants.

Story Trail - Gift Horse
Mon - Fri 10am to Noon 1pm to 5pm
The Story Trail has 'Gift Horse' by S.D. Nelson at the Assiniboia and District Historical Museum.
This is a wonderful story about a young Lakota boy as he learns about his traditions and the responsibilities as he gets older.
The Story Trail is inside the Museum as people and children can read the story or be part of a group reading the story.
Museum is open from 10am to Noon 1pm to 5pm Monday to Friday.
This is in conjunction with Cultural Days in Saskatchewan.
Spooky Halloween
Sat., Oct. 17 Spooky Details 1pm to 4pm
Working with the Food Bank, a fun afternoon with donation of food items for Food Bank, games and more!
Face painter will be on site to paint a face for $15.
Please note the hours and the break between events.
Saturday, October 17 from 1pm to 4:00pm then 5:45pm to 10pm Event with Museum and Food Bank coming soon!!!

This is in conjunction with the Food Bank and having a little pre Halloween fun!
Movie 6:15 pm 8:15pm
Door opens 5:45 with tours in the Spooky Halloween Room.
