Cowboy Poetry - Saskatchewan Culture

If you have just arrived in Saskatchewan, part of our provinces' culture is Cowboy Poetry.

The poet has worked on a farm or ranch or both throughout some of their life and have decided to pen a few poems about that life that many of us may not have experienced or maybe we remember some of those items mentioned.

Assiniboia & District Historical Museum teamed up with Cowboy Poet, Bryce Burnett from around Swift Current area to bring to those pondering about cowboy life or ranch things to the Museum in late September.

Bryce Burnett has been across Western Canada and into the USA at many functions with Cowboy Poetry. He has entertained at libraries, museums, Western Agribition in Regina to name a few places.

Bryce has two books out and the Museum along with several people bought these books. If you are looking for a gift for that person that has quite a few books, then you can get in touch with the Museum to buy a set of the two books together.
