50th Anniversary Celebration for Assiniboia & District Historical Museum/Society!

August 2024 The 50th Anniversary celebration for the Museum/Society arrived!

Greeter and former Chairperson, Yvette welcomed all the guests, visitors, musicians, singers along with volunteers and local Assiniboia Times reporter.

Yvette still a volunteer provided a few people a tour in French this summer. We enjoy all Yvette's volunteer time with us throughout all the years. We also recognized two original members of the group that began the Museum/Society 50 years ago! Bernice Woolhouse and Lorraine Silzer still come occasionally to assist us and have a moment to provide information over a break.

The Music was very entertaining and the crowd swelled where we had to add another table with chairs.

Thank you to everyone that came and took in the 50th Anniversary! The organization couldn't have done this without the help, support and contributions from many people, groups and organizations!

Here's to the next 50 years! Cheers to all the volunteers, board members, staff and summer people!
